Papendangan comes from the Minahasa language, which means "holistic education system." This holistic education system was started and implemented by Tonaas, who trains Kabasaran, Maengket, and others. Students learn by doing, and they also learn from the teacher's life, such as farming, hunting, and other activities.
Papendangan: International Journal of Religious and Culture, published twice a year in June and December, is published by the Institut Agama Kristen Negeri Manado in collaboration with the Indonesian Education Lecturer Association (ADPPI). PIJC is dedicated to advancing knowledge and understanding of theories and issues of Religion and Culture across various disciplines, including inputs, processes, outputs, outcomes, and their impact on the National education system and its implementation.
