The purpose of writing this article is to understand how the dualism of ecocentrism and anthropocentrism often becomes a negative discourse in perceiving nature, where these dualisms are frequently described as opposing poles. The author reads these dualisms within the framework of the theology of Genesis 1-3. Additionally, this article will attempt to examine, analyze, and provide an analysis of the Genesis context in viewing anthropocentric and ecocentric dualism as implications in response to the ecofeminist movement or efforts to preserve and protect nature. The writing method used is qualitative literature study. It is observed that both perspectives or dualisms are reconciled according to Genesis 1-3, where both ecocentrism and anthropocentrism are centered on the understanding that God works for all and interdependence, without any superiority or dominance. Both perspectives are realized by understanding that the creation of nature and humans has the same purpose, and that purpose is for God. The ecofeminist movement contributes contemporary insights to efforts in paying attention to and saving the environment with a strong theological perspective and foundation.
