This paper describes the Malesung religion as a civil religion in Minahasa. The original religion of the Minahasa tribe is called by many names. It is not known who the founders of this religion are. According to old stories of the Menesung (Minahasa) people, Malesung religious practices have existed since the days of Karema, Lumimuut and Toar. It is known that the karema was the first elder guardian or priest/priest. Furthermore, religious affairs were handed over to the makarua siouw group. However, since the extraordinary incident occurred and was followed by the pinabetengan incident, there was a mixture of the 3 groups (Makarua Siouw, Makatelu Pitu and Pasiowan Telu). The aim of civil religion research in Minahasa is the Malesung religion, to get to know and know more about the Malesung religion. This research is influenced by the theory of civil religion, and serves to find out about the existence of the Malesung religion. The research method used is qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Sources of data from books and journals. It is hoped that the results of this research can help us to know and know more about the existence of the Malaesung religion as a civil religion in Minahasa.
