In the perform of “Ibadah Penghiburan” usually sing spiritual praise that serves as a reinforcement that changes the pathetic energy to hope. Therefore, in this praise has the meaning of sacredness which through praise is able to offer theological expression to strengthen or weaken the substances of the message in praise undergoing a paradigm shift. Then, this study conducted to check the problem using qualitative research methods with descriptive analysis. Researchers conducted a literature review and collection of relevant information, observations and in-depth interviews. This study found the meaning of the sacredness of songs in “Ibadah Penghiburan” which had experienced a shift due to a paradigm shift among the people. In the traditions of worship, consolation begins to use secular songs for 'entertaining' families who are in grief that replace hymns that have theological meaning.
